The Still Spirits range of turbo yeasts, activated carbon, turbo clear, spirit essences, liqueur essences and bases has everything you need to to make premium quality spirits, schnapps and liqueurs in your own home and at a fraction of the cost of their commercial equivalents.
The liqueur, schnapps and spirit essences can be added to a bottle of commercially prepared vodka base, or you can create your own basic "wash" using nothing more than granulated sugar, water and one of the range of specialist, high alcohol tolerant yeasts, together with a pack of activated charcoal to absorb the more volatile and unpleasant flavoured compounds produced during fermentation.
Once the fermentation has finished, the addition of a sachet of Turbo Clear will remove over 95% of the yeast cells, solids and other compounds within 24 hours and you can now simply syphon your clear alcohol, which will generally be between 14-21% ABV depending upon the yeast used and time allowed for fermentation, off the sediment and mix with your chosen liqueur or spirit essence.
In countries where home distillation is permitted, you can now add your wash to a smart still and concentrate it to commercial strength.
In many countries, including the UK, alcohol distillation is considered illegal and requires a licence. Under the provisions of Section 12 of the Alcoholic Duties Act 1979, the UK government require anybody wishing to produce spirits to obtain a distiller's licence, even if such spirits are produced for home or personal use.
