A simple to make homebrew Bitter kit made from 100% malted barley. Youngs Brewbuddy Bitter produces up to 40 pints at an ABV of around 4.5% when added to water and sugar. 1kg of sugar is needed to make this homebrewing kit, which can either be standard granulated sugar or brewing sugar. A richer flavour and fuller body can be obtained by using spraymalt or beer enhancer rather than brewing sugar. Product Review: "This is the standard kit supplied with our bitter starter kits and was the one that I used when photographing the procedure for the "Brewing Beer with a Beer Kit". I used 1kg of brewing sugar and bottled water and primed it with spraymalt rather than sugar. It produced a light bodied, pale golden brown beer which had quite a dry, slightly spicy, peppery flavour and a long lasting dry aftertaste. Though lighter in colour and displaying less body, its taste and dryness remind me of Ruddles County and I think I will probably be experimenting with this kit and adding some dark spraymalt or Liquid malt extract to it to see if I can improve the body and colour."
