This dark, smooth, satisfying stout is based on those favoured by the miners of New Zealand's west coast.
Containing 1.7kgs of Malt Extract, it requires the addition of 1kg of sugar, or brewing sugar, and water to produce 40 pints of premium stout. If a richer, fuller bodied beer is required, 1.5kg of dark malt extract can be subsituted for the sugar.
The beer will be ready within 3 weeks but will be best if stored for at least 2 months and will continue to improve with age.
