The King Keg's 4 inch wide neck gives easy access for you to get your arm inside and thus makes it much easier to clean the barrel. The top fitting tap with its integral float system allows early drawing of beer as it clears and also allows the barrel to be stored on the floor rather than on a work surface. This makes it perfect for people who can not safely lift 40-45 kgs, which is roughly what a full barrel of beer weighs. If you drink your beer too quickly, you may suffer a loss of serving pressure, but this can be corrected by adding additional CO 2 via a Hambleton bard S30 cylinder or a sodastream cylinder fitted with an appropriate adapter. The Sparklets type bulbs WILL NOT work with the standard valve on this barrel unless it is used with an appropriate HB valve adapter. If you want to use this barrel with sparklet bulbs, please choose the "Pin Valve Option" |
