The Air Still Collector and filter is specifically designed to be used to filter the alcohol produced by an Air Still (where legal).
Once operating and producing alchol, the air still should be placed over the collector jug and allowed to run until approximately 600-700ml of distillate has been produced. this should then be diluted to below 50%ABV before passing through the filter.
For best performance, the Carbon blocks on the filter should be changed after each 1.125lts of diluted alcohol has been run through it. The washers should be changed when they become compressed.
A bottle of Distiller's Conditioner and a small pack of Ceramic Raschig Boil Enhancers is supplied with this filter, but there is only one Carbon Block so it is worth purchasing a box of 10 at the same time as they do tend to clog quite quickly.
