The winemakers of Australian and New Zealand favour the ripe, fruity and bold flavours available from the Shiraz grape more than "Old World" wine producers and often mix it with Cabernet Sauvignon. The Beaverdale Shiraz kit is a pure varietal kit that produces a dry, medium bodied but lightly oaked wine with peppery undertones.
This wine kit comes with approximately 7.5 ltrs of pure red grape juice concentrate which is diluted to 23ltrs before fermentation to make 30 bottles of wine in 15-20 days. After clearing and degassing, the wine is normally ready for drinking in a further 7-10 days, but will improve if matured for several months in a cool place. The Beaverdale range is one of the best home wine making kits available and consistently produces quality wine.
