Brewgas S30 gas cylinders - Refill (Previously called Hambleton Bard S30)
Brewgas S30 gas cylinders refill for brewers with an empty cartridge to trade in as an exchange item. Shipping restrictions apply. Please read the full product description before ordering. Maximum 2 per order
As we appear to be one of the few shops now offering "swap outs", in order to preserve our supplies for as many customers as possible, we are only accepting two exchanges cylinders per order. This is a refilled "Brewgas" S30 style gas cylinder available as a "swap out" for your exisiting empty cylinder. These cylinders screw straight onto the appropriate S30 valve on your barrel cap and inject CO2 directly into your barrel. These were for many years known as Hambleton Bard S30 cylinders but since January 2019, they have been refilled by "Brewgas" and will gradually all be converted to the "Brewgas" design and label.
These are the complete, refilled cylinders available for exchange on a "one for one" basis, providing that you have an existing empty, official, Brewgas/Hambleton Bard S30 cylinder to trade in, either by bringing it into the store or sending it to us at your own expense.
Cylinders which look like the ones on the left are usually acceptable for use as a trade in, though any with visible rust, damage or missing the red seal by the valve may be refused.
Cylinders which look like any of the ones on the right are unacceptable for trade in and you should purchase a "new" cylinder instead.
If we did not supply the cylinder that you are planning on using as a trade in, we would request that you send us a photgraph before you ship it, so that we can confirm that it will be acceptable to our suppliers. If there is any sign of damage/ rust or the red seal around the valve body is missing, the cylinder will need to refurbished and pressure tested, which attracts and extra fee.
We will not dispatch your refill until we receive your old cylinder and you can only order a maximum of two at a time.
You should bring or send your empty cylinder/s to:
Colchester Homebrew Supplies
Unit B6, The Seedbed Centre,
Please note, there is no "cylinder purchase fee" payable on these cylinders, but neither does any cylinder hold a refundable "deposit" that can be cashed in when you no longer require them or in the event that the supplier ceases production.
Whilst CO2 is completely safe as a gas, when compressed into cylinders it falls foul of the "Hazardous Goods" regulations and FULL cylinders cannot be shipped to you via the Royal Mail. If you have any CO2 cylinders in your order, you MUST choose one of our Courier delivery options.
Royal Mail will accept EMPTY cylinders for transport if you are unable to bring yours to our shop, but if you return more than one, the overall weight may end up being over 2kgs, so you may find that it is cheaper to send them as individual "Small Parcels" rather than as one "Medium Parcel"
