Product Update 21/8/2020
As a result of a change in the distribution network, we can now only get these directly from the manufacturer and they are strictly on a "one in, one out" basis. We can accept your empty one for swap out, but will not be able to send you a new one until we have a full box of 10 empties to return to the supplier and he has sent us 10 full ones in return. Depending on how quickly I can fill a box, it might take me as little as one week to return yours or as long as four weeks.
This is a brand new "Brewgas" S30 style gas cylinder available as a "swap out" for your exisiting empty cylinder. These cylinders screw straight onto the appropriate S30 valve on your barrel cap and inject CO2 directly into your barrel. These were for many years known as Hambleton Bard S30 cylinders but since January 2019, they have been refilled by "Brewgas" and will gradually all be converted to the "Brewgas" design and label.
These are the complete, brand new cylinders available for exchange on a "one for one" basis, providing that you have an existing empty, official, Brewgas/Hambleton Bard S30 cylinder to trade in, either by bringing it into the store or sending it to us at your own expense.
We will not dispatch your refill until we receive your old cylinder and have received a replacement from the supplier.
You should bring or send your empty cylinder to:
Colchester Homebrew Supplies
Unit B6, The Seedbed Centre,
Please note, there is no "cylinder purchase fee" payable on these cylinders, but neither does any cylinder hold a refundable "deposit" that can be cashed in when you no longer require them or in the event that the supplier ceases production.
Whilst CO2 and N2O are completely safe as gases, when they are compressed into cylinders they fall foul of the "Hazardous Goods" regulations and FULL cylinders cannot be shipped via the Royal Mail. If you have any CO2 or N2O cylinders in your order, you MUST choose the Courier delivery option.
Royal Mail will accept EMPTY cylinders for transport if you are unable to bring yours to our shop, but if you return more than one, the overall weight will probably be over 2kgs, so you may find that it is cheaper to send them as individual "Small Parcels" rather than as one "Medium Parcel"
