The Sandeland Safety Cork, from Hambleton Bard, is used after fermentation has finished to keep your wine free from infection and oxidisation whilst it matures, and at the same time allows the controlled release of any excess CO2 produced or let out of solution during the maturation period.
This cork fits both sizes of demijohn, both the standard and the smaller 1" diameter jars.
