A simple bottle rinser to make it easy to rinse your beer or wine bottles. Care needs to taken when assembling the rinser as the spring is easily damaged.

This simple bottle rinser fits on top of the Bottle Drainer (5429) and uses the water or sterilising solution in its reservoir to washing and rinse your beer or wine bottles.
Care must be taken when first assembling the rinser as the spring is very tight and will not fit onto the base plate correctly unless it has been FULLY inserted into the jet tube. This is most easily accomplished by pushing it as far as possible and then twisting it to increase the tension. When the outer casing is then placed over the jet tube, only about 2cm maximum of the spring should be visible.
The spring is then positioned over the mounting point on the base plate and the outer casing brought slowly and carefully down to begin to engage the threads on the base plate. The spring will now be under quite high compression and will try to break free unless you quickly tighten the thread. I found that the easiest way was to rotate the base plate initially with your right hand whilst holding the casing in your left, and then to change and begin to rotate the casing in your left hand whilst holding the base plate steady in your right. (You can download a PDF file showing this process in pictures here.)
Once the reservoir is filled with rinsing solution, you will need to pump the jet up and down rapidly a few times to introduce the solution into the casing and up into the jet body.
