Brupaks Dried Isinglass (previously known as Magicol) is a traditional, but very effective, fining agent for removing yeast cells from suspension in home brewed beers.
Using a kitchen blender or whisk, 1tsp of dried Isinglass is SLOWLY added to 500ml of water until a smooth paste is achieved. Made thus, the mixture will keep for up to 4 weeks in a fridge. Use 250ml of the mixture per 25ltrs of beer to be cleared.
There is sufficient in this tub to make 2ltrs of liquid clearing solution, which will clear 8 full 25ltr batches at the stated dosage rate.
As Isinglass is a fish based product, it may be unsuitable for strict vegetarians.
