An old favourite, the two piece airlock is ideal for beer and winemaking and can be used in tight or enclosed spaces when a bubbler type airlock would not fit. Air locks prevent air getting into your brewing vessel and spoiling the must/wort, and allow the escape of the carbon dioxide (CO2) built up during primary fermentation.
Add a small amount of sterilising solution or cooled boiled water and place in a bored cork/bung or a gromet and use to seal a brewing bin, demi-john or wide necked fermentation vessel.
Air locks can be also be used in place of solid bungs to seal demi-johns or fermenting vessels for long term storage.
Please note: The airlock DOES NOT come with a bored bung.
