Crushed Amber Malt is used in all grain and partial mash brewing. In full mash brewing, Amber Malt is a common ingredient in many beer recipes and is often used in partial mash brewing to add body to the malt extract base. Gently roasted until it turns a rich amber colour, it will impart a dry, "biscuity" flavour to your beers and golden colour. This convenient size is normally sufficient on its own to satisfy your recipe requierments for 2-3 brews as most recipes containing crushed Amber malt only tend to need 150-250gms per 5 gallon/ 23 ltr batch.
