This highly attenuating, high alcohol tolerant (up to 12% ABV) Belgian yeast produces spicy and phenolic flavours in a wide range of Belgian style beers.It develops ripe fruit, especially plum, esters and aromas and exhibits clove and banana flavours.
It comes in a 10g pack which is suitable for fermenting 23ltr and works best at normal fermentation temperatures, typically 18°-28°C. It can either be rehydrated as a starter solution prior to pitching or simply sprinkled directly into the wort.
