Following the success of the Ritchies Festival Ales and Hambleton Bard Bulldog kits, Youngs have launched a range of American Style Craft Ales using specially selected Malt Extracts and Hop Pellets to encourage homebrewers to try and replicate some of the popular American Craft Ale styles.

There are three kits in the range initially, but other styles may be added if they prove popular. The three that are currently available are:

American Pale Ale - 3.6kgs of Malt Extract and Brewing Sugar making 40 pints of around 5.6% ABV. It is supplied with a pack of Columbus and Centennial hop pellets, which are added during the fermentation to provide a strong Citrus, Floral and Pine flavour to this pale golden beer.

American IPA - 4kgs of Malt Extract and Brewing Sugar making 40 pints of around 6.5% ABV. It is supplied with a pack of Simcoe, Chinook and Centennial hop pellets, which are added during the fermentation to provide  a powerful grapefruit and floral taste and fragrant aromas.

American Amber Ale - 3.6kgs of Malt Extract and Brewing Sugar making 40 pints of around 5.4% ABV. It is supplied with a pack of Pacific Jade, Cluster and Summit hop pellets, which are added during the fermentation to provide a spicy and pink grapefruit like flavour to this rich amber coloured ale.
